INTERNATIONAL PREPAID CALLING CARDS
The international prepaid calling cards has roots in the international market. Prepaid calling cards were created for long distance
callings. The convenience of calling cards were recognized by many people.

In 1975 in Italy there was a shortage of coins. This has resulted by the vandalism of pay phones. Many hooligans began breaking phones to

Some time later, in 1987 a Brazilian scientist by name Nelson G. Bardini developeded the new technology for using calling cards. It was an
inductive technology. In this technology was used a series of small coils which were embedded in the new calling card. These cards was the
first of prepaid calling cards, because in this cards one coil was designed to burn out after the payment on the card had been used up.
In 1972 in Japan was introduced their prepaid calling cards, because peoples in this country used a coins to make a calls by public phones,
and it was not so convenient! And after introducing of the prepaid phone cards many of Japaneses began to buy these prepaid calling cards,
because it became very conveniently for them.
France began working on ways to upgrade calling cards technology. In 1984 The French scientists have developed a computer chip, which was insert
into the card. This was a new step in development of prepaid calling cards. Cards with computer chip was named a "smart cards". These cards were
more convenient, then calling cards with magnetic strip.
In 1987 WTG (WORLD TELECOM GROUP) launch a calling cards in USA. New technology, known as "MAGSTRIPE", developed by Siemens and General
Electric Company, is now one of the most popular technology in the world!
In United Kingdom, Dr. Steve Hiscocks create "The Book of phone cards", this book was collected by British collectors, and included 108
pages with calling cards from 61 countries!
In 1989 All phone companies of United States wanted to join to "prepaid calling cards boom", and AT&T was first company who quickly
introduced their own prepaid calling cards on a world market. Soon, in New York the RBO company came out with a new phone cards, whith
non-magnetic technology. This technology was simpler, because it used the PIN-numbers for identification of user of card. International
